At-a-Glance Valve Tags

They provide an immediate, clear visual status of a valve. This helps prevent accidents by instantly telling an operator if a valve is open or closed, what's in the pipe, or if the valve is part of a specific test. They serve as essential visual communication tools, similar to information tags and instructions tags.

These tags are made from durable, rigid plastic (like .035 or .060 thick) that is waterproof and resistant to chemicals, oils, and grease. This ensures they remain legible in harsh industrial or outdoor environments. For custom durability, check out our custom durable plastic tags.

Besides open and closed, common legends include locked open, locked closed, n.o. (normally open), n.c. (normally closed), and tags for specific contents like steam, gas, or water.

The tags have a large 3/8" or 1/2" hole at the top, allowing them to be easily attached to the valve handle or stem using a nylon tie-wrap, wire, or beaded chain.
