What are the common acronyms used for valve tags?
An abbreviation list is essential as you start to edit your valve tag data base. Note that there are usually approved acronym lists for each industry. ANSI/ASME Y1.1-1989 (given below) is also an excellent guide for your own acronyms but make sure that all noun names, alphanumeric designations and abbreviations are consistent in your own references, (i.e.; drawings, procedures, control room labeling, etc.).
